Prelude - Fellowship Uninterrupted
Call to Worship

We gather today to worship You God, because You created us.  You are the one who calls us, You are the One who equips us, and You are the one who perfectly loves us without end.  With joyful hearts, let us encourage one another to worship God.  Amen.

Hymn - Breathe on Me, Breath of God
Invocation and Lord's Prayer

Holy God, hear our prayers for the mending of hearts, for the healing of our souls, for the forgiveness we seek for the sin we have allowed to persist, for the reconciliation of the world, for the courage to admit our fault, for the strength to amend our actions, and for the hope that your grace gives to us.  We pray this in Jesus' name who taught us to pray in this manner: Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.  Give us this day our daily bread.  And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.  And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory forever.  Amen.

Scripture Reading - Act 2:42-47

42 They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. 43 Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles. 44 All the believers were together and had everything in common. 45 They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need. 46 Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, 47 praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.

Joys and Concerns

Great God of heaven and earth; we come to sing of your mighty power this morning, your wisdom, your goodness, your strength flaming out.  We come to give thanks for great gifts.  This morning, we ask that you would resurrect us, opening us petal by petal, with your shining love, warming us into life even in the places where we feel cold and alone. Shine in our hearts, Lord Jesus!
