Prelude - Will You Come and Follow Me
Call to Worship

We come as seekers, unsure at times of what we seek.  We come as followers.  We come to worship.  Holy One, by your grace, meet us where we are. Transform us into the people You desire us to be.  Unite us into your kingdom and grant us peace.  In Jesus Name was ask.  Amen.

Hymn - Holy God, We Praise Thy Name
Invocation and Lord's Prayer

Keeper of every moment in eternity, we come not only to hear those words which can transform us, but to be filled with your grace and hope.  We come following Your Son who taught us to pray saying: Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.  Give us this day our daily bread.  And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.  And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory forever.  Amen.

Scripture Reading - Mark 3:20-31

20 Then Jesus entered a house, and again a crowd gathered, so that he and his disciples were not even able to eat. 21 When his family heard about this, they went to take charge of him, for they said, “He is out of his mind.”  22 And the teachers of the law who came down from Jerusalem said, “He is possessed by Beelzebul! By the prince of demons he is driving out demons.”  23 So Jesus called them over to him and began to speak to them in parables: “How can Satan drive out Satan? 24 If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. 25 If a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand. 26 And if Satan opposes himself and is divided, he cannot stand; his end has come. 27 In fact, no one can enter a strong man’s house without first tying him up. Then he can plunder the strong man’s house. 28 Truly I tell you, people can be forgiven all their sins and every slander they utter, 29 but whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven; they are guilty of an eternal sin.”  30 He said this because they were saying, “He has an impure spirit.”  31 Then Jesus’ mother and brothers arrived. Standing outside, they sent someone in to call him.

Joys and Concerns

Lord, we have so little to bring to You.  But what we have, we willingly give: our humble spirits and contrite hearts.  We long to be your disciples, to follow your path for our lives, and to share with others the good news of your love and mercy. Amen.
